Two of our team at Avocet, Nikky and Chelsea, are taking on a 30 mile walk on the 25th September for Dementia UK!
Their challenge will see them walk from Avocet Court Care Home in Ipswich to Felixstowe and back again. Stopping, of course, for some fish and chips on Felixstowe Sea Front before heading back!
Nikky decided to take on the challenge to raise awareness of Dementia and is in memory of her Grandma and all of our residents at Avocet Court who are living with Dementia. Nikky thinks that although she runs a mile or two most nights, this will be a whole new challenge because of the length of the walk and, although it’s less intense, walking requires hours of patience and stamina.
