On Friday the 24th September all the homes in the Athena family grabbed their paint brushes and got creative to celebrate National Art In Care Homes Day 2021!
At Aria Court in Cambridgeshire, our residents created something completely unique. Thanks to the kind donation of MDF from Ridgeons, our residents created an abstract, balloon art piece!
It was a fantastic event for all of our homes and, as you can see, it was the perfect complement to Macmillan’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning too.
At Goodwins Hall in Kings Lynn our residents got the paint brushes out and created a whole host of amazing artworks. We saw everything from flamingos to flowers and unicorns to wolves. Pictured right.
Meanwhile, the residents at Avocet Court Care Home in Ipswich, were painting, decorating and getting creative. Though their fun didn’t stop with the paints, they were getting creative with their signing and performing too! Pictured below.
It was a great day all around and there were some fantastic creations had amongst lots of laughter!
