We know how a good cup of tea or coffee over a slice of cake can help give our day a boost. It’s easy to underestimate, but that’s why it’s so important to us we have the right brands of tea and coffee in our cafes!
In keeping with our ethos of having resident’s at the centre of everything we do, we recently teamed up with our friends at South East Coffee Company to run a tasting and scoring session with some of the residents at Aria Court Care Home. As part of the session we talked through some of the characteristics of the coffees from different parts of the world, to understand how coffee can vary in flavour so notably. You can see more on this in the image below.
The winning coffee which our residents chose was a lovely, smooth single-origin coffee called Indian Monsoon Malabar. It’s grown in the South West of India at altitudes of 1100-1200 metres. Harvested during the rainy season, it has a slight acidity and medium body with a very fine spicy, smoky, slightly earthy flavour. It’s also the coffee of choice for the Sandringham Estate!
We are so excited to fully open our doors to friends and relatives again, and now we know there will be a great cup of coffee waiting for you!
