The team at Avocet Court were delighted to welcome the fantastic Cathy Smith from Suffolk Wildlife Trust earlier this week.
As part of our work for Athena in Bloom, the Avocet Court team are very conscious that they have a significant amount of wild visitors, so any changes and new plants which we introduce we want to support our visitors. Our residents often get to see muntjac deer, hedgehogs and foxes exploring our grounds, but there’s also a fantastic selection of birds and insects which we have here too – including a rather large bumble bee which landed on the tree just out of shot during our filming!
Cathy was on hand with fantastic advice, and had plenty of pointers for the team; a flavour of which you can see in the video above.
A huge thank you to both Cathy and Suffolk Wildlife Trust. We can’t wait to welcome you back in summer so you can see the fruits of our efforts!
