January was a truly heartwarming month at Aria Court, filled with celebration, reflection and community spirit. From honouring our long-serving team members to enjoying a vibrant Burns Night and hosting a special Veterans Club lunch, the start of the year reminded us what makes life at Aria Court so special – connection, compassion and togetherness.
Long Service Awards: Celebrating the Heart of Aria Court
At Aria Court, we were incredibly proud to host our Long Service Awards, recognising the dedication and commitment of our wonderful team.
These awards are about so much more than years of service. They reflect the compassion, consistency and unwavering dedication our staff bring to their roles every single day. Whether offering a comforting word, providing expert care or simply sharing a smile, our team makes a meaningful difference to residents, families and one another.
Moments like this remind us that we are more than colleagues, we are a family. We support each other through every challenge and celebrate every success together. We are truly grateful to every member of the Aria Court team for their continued hard work and commitment to delivering exceptional care.
15th January – A Special Veterans Club Lunch
Community connections are incredibly important to us, which is why we were delighted to welcome the Veterans Club to Aria Court for a special lunch on 15th January.
Although we usually visit the club, this time we had the pleasure of hosting, and it was a truly memorable afternoon. The event created a strong sense of appreciation and camaraderie, particularly as many of our residents have served in the armed forces or have close connections to those who have.
Residents and guests shared stories, memories and laughter, strengthening bonds and celebrating shared experiences. Together, we organised a raffle and successfully raised funds to purchase a new curling game for the home. The game has extended sticks, making it accessible for all residents, including wheelchair users, ensuring everyone can take part in the fun.
A heartfelt thank you goes to our talented catering team for preparing a wonderful lunch. We were also honoured to have Sreeja, our Home Manager, and Mala, our Company Owner, personally meet and thank the Veterans Club members for their service and friendship.
25th January – Burns Night Celebration
Later in the month, Aria Court was filled with Scottish spirit as we celebrated Burns Night in honour of Robert Burns.
The morning began with residents learning fascinating facts about Robert Burns, reading traditional Scottish poetry and baking delicious shortbread together. These meaningful activities not only celebrated Scottish heritage but also encouraged reminiscence and conversation.
In the afternoon, we hosted a lively Scottish-themed afternoon tea, complete with traditional music and a fun quiz.
Our catering team created an impressive spread, including mini haggis pies, oatcakes and freshly baked scones served with Scottish strawberry jam and clotted cream.
It was a joyful day filled with laughter, music and togetherness, a wonderful way to celebrate culture and tradition within our care home community.
Life at Aria Court: More Than Just Care
At Aria Court, we believe that exceptional care is about more than meeting daily needs, it’s about creating meaningful experiences, building lasting relationships and ensuring every resident feels valued and at home.
From recognising our dedicated staff to celebrating cultural traditions and strengthening community ties, January has set a positive and uplifting tone for the year ahead.
We look forward to many more moments of connection, celebration and shared joy in the months to come.
