We are incredibly proud to announce that Goodwins Hall, part of Athena Care Homes, has been recognised at the 37th Mayor’s Business Awards, held at the King’s Lynn Corn Exchange on Friday 6 March 2026.
The Mayor’s Business Awards celebrate and publicly acknowledge outstanding business achievements and the important contribution that businesses make to the West Norfolk economy. The evening brought together organisations from across the region to recognise innovation, commitment and excellence.
Goodwins Hall was honoured to be named a finalist in two categories:
• Customer Care
• Environmental Champion (Sustainability)
Being shortlisted in both categories reflects the care home’s commitment to exceptional resident care and environmental responsibility.
On the evening, Goodwins Hall was announced as the winner of the Customer Care Award, recognising the team’s dedication to delivering compassionate, person-centred care to residents and their families.
Celebrating the Team Behind the Care
Representing Goodwins Hall at the awards dinner were Home Manager Flavia Hansell, three members of the Goodwins Hall team, and Athena Care Homes CEO Lorna Rose.
Their presence highlighted the strong leadership and teamwork that underpin the home’s commitment to providing outstanding care in King’s Lynn.
Following the ceremony, Flavia shared her pride in the team’s achievement:

On the evening we were also honoured to be finalists in the Environmental Champion category, which was an incredibly competitive category. Being recognised amongst so many fantastic organisations was already a huge achievement for our team.
