Bringing Beach Memories to Life at Aria Court Care Home
At Aria Court Care Home in March, Cambridgeshire, residents enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of seaside memories, delicious tropical fruits and refreshing summer drinks, bringing the sights, tastes and happy moments of a beach holiday into their home.
Using one of our themed engagement boxes, the Lifestyle Team created a lovely opportunity for residents to reminisce about their experiences at the beach, from family holidays and seaside adventures to special moments spent beside the sea.
The afternoon was filled with conversation and laughter as residents shared stories of holidays they had enjoyed over the years. Their All About Me books provided a meaningful way to revisit personal experiences, celebrate treasured memories and learn more about the people, places and moments that have helped shape their lives.
Adding a delicious seasonal touch to the experience, our Head of Culinary, Simon, joined the residents to explore a selection of exotic fruits and refreshing summer coolers. The opportunity to enjoy different flavours and tastes brought another sensory element to the afternoon, encouraging conversation and making the experience even more memorable.
