With a long and fulfilling career in the care sector, Lorna began nursing in 1979 and has since enjoyed working across oncology, burns and plastics, occupational health and eventually found her true passion in caring for the elderly. With nine years managing a leading care home provider before joining the Athena family, Lorna regularly comments on how she loves every moment of her job, “I’m happy if they’re happy – if they’re not then I’m not! I’m so passionate to provide the highest level of care and ensure our residents and my team feels like one big family.” Starting as Sister of a Unit at Aria Court care home, Lorna quickly progressed to Home Manager at Goodwins Hall, and the residents became the very essence of her working life.
