Beginning with Amberley Hall in 2014, the company has grown year-on-year to become a group of 5 care homes.
It's important to all at Athena that each of our homes have a warm, welcoming environment that provide an outstanding standard of care. Each of our homes are regulated and registered by the Care Quality Commission.
With family values at our very core, you can be confident in knowing that our family will care for yours.
Our mission is to provide the best quality dementia, nursing and residential care from the very best team members in a safe and comfortable setting.
Our mission is to provide the best quality dementia, nursing and residential care from the very best team members in a safe and comfortable setting. Our homes are managed by amazing and passionate people, including a home manager, designated clinical care leaders and a hospitality services manager at the very core to keep the everything running smoothly.
We hold our values close to the heart, and we ensure that team members throughout each of our homes understand them and what importance they hold. We approach our care with Dignity, Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork and Creativity.
While the business has grown from one home to five, family values are still at the centre of everything we do. With Dignity, Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork and Creativity the five visions and values of the company, you can be confident knowing that our family will care for yours.
In the last few years, we have won awards across our industry and, in 2020, Athena Care Homes was named as one of the London Stock Exchanges’ 1000 companies to inspire. We’re members of the Care Workers’ Charity and work hard to make sure our staff and homes are key parts of our local communities.
It's important to all of us at Athena that each of our homes have a warm, welcoming environment and that we provide an outstanding standard of care.
Lynda has been working with Athena since December 2016 and has many years of experience working with older people in both NHS and care settings. Previously our Clinical Care Manager and later Care Home Manager at our Aria Court care home in March, Cambridgeshire, Lynda is now our Director of Quality and Compliance. Lynda explains that her passion and inspiration for the care and support of older people came from her nursing career.
Adrienne has never looked back and believes that care and compassion should be at the heart of all we do. She says that ‘there is something very special about being entrusted to care for an older person and we can learn so much from them’. Outside of work loves to spend her time with her many grandchildren and enjoys walking, reading and renovating her very old townhouse.
