Everyone at Athena would like to wish Adrienne Welton a very warm welcome into the family.
Joining us in January 2021, Adrienne brings much valuable experience and knowledge to her new role. She will be leading our regional teams and home managers with incredible support.
Adrienne qualified as a nurse in what she describes as ‘the days of frilly hats and buckles’! For several years she worked on elderly wards before taking time away with family and working in a school. Adrienne then returned to nursing care inside nursing homes after 30 years, to get stuck back into her passion!
Adrienne has never looked back and believes that care and compassion should be at the heart of all we do. “There is something very special about being entrusted to care for an older person, and we can learn so much from them“.
With her values aligning closely with ours, we are all so excited to welcome Adrienne to Athena.
