January has set off to an incredible start for all at Avocet Court! Hospitality Services Manager, Ruth Garnham, was awarded the Lieutenant’s Special Certificate of Merit by Her Majesty the Queen’s personal representative, the Countess of Euston and the High Sheriff of Suffolk. What an honour it is for Ruth, to have her hard work through the pandemic recognised.
Managing Director, Mala Agarwal, presented Ruth with an award to mark this glorious occasion on behalf of all at Athena. The award is now proudly hanging on the wall in Avocet Court.
Alongside this, Avocet Court has been celebrating their ‘Good’ CQC rating! The hard work of Ruth, Nina (Clinical Care Manager) and all of the staff has paid off to achieve this fantastic result!
More exciting news, Athena would like to officially welcome Kim Eagleton as the new home manager of Avocet Court. We would like to wish her all the best in her new role.
Last but not least, the news we have all been waiting for has finally arrived! Residents and staff at Avocet Court have now all received the COVID-19 vaccine, bringing hope to everyone. This is the good news we’ve all been waiting for, and we can’t wait to see what February has in store!
