Over the last few weeks our homes have been joining in with this year’s RSPB Big Garden Bird Watch.
The Big Garden Birdwatch helps the RSPB to monitor how garden birds are faring. Shockingly, we’ve lost 38 million birds from UK skies in the last 50 years, so it really is vital we do all we can to look after our birdlife.
As part of this year’s Athena in Bloom competition, all of our homes have been challenged to come up with the best Wildlife Conservation project and we can’t wait to see what they create over the coming months!
Last year, the team at Aria Court, partnered with Lionel Walden Primary School, with the children helping to decorate bird boxes for our gardens.
In the meantime, it’s fantastic to see that there’s a good variety of birds already in our gardens at Aria Court and our residents had great fun spotting and identifying them over the last few days!
