A former police officer will be hosting talks on scam awareness and fraud prevention at our King’s Lynn homes in March.
The talks will cover common tactics used by scammers, particularly when targeting the elderly and vulnerable. There will be tips on staying safe online, plus dealing with cold callers and telephone scammers.
The retired officer will share details of some of the common scams currently circulating in King’s Lynn and nationally to raise awareness.
Residents living at Goodwins Hall Care Home and Amberley Hall Care Home are invited, as well as their friends and relatives and the wider community. Our teams will also be invited to attend because while scammers often target older people, we are all at risk.
The first talk takes place at Goodwins Hall, in Goodwins Road, King’s Lynn from 4.00pm to 5.00pm on Friday, 24th March. The second session will be held at Amberley Hall Care Home, in Baldock Drive, King’s Lynn from 4.00pm to 5.00pm on Friday, 31st March.
Sessions are free to attend and you are welcome to drop in to either.
Places are limited so please book a place for Goodwins Hall here and Amberley Hall here.
