On Friday 11th June our residents were treated to a fantastic online chair-based exercise class by 9 year old Heather!
Heather Bryson, who lives with parents Gary and Deborah in Scotland, has been planning to have 100 care homes across the world take part in a live exercise class! Heather decided to take on the challenge after she lost her grandmother during lockdown and was inspired by Captain Tom. Heather says the project has given her a new lease of life and her mum, Deborah, explained how Heather loves seeing where all the care homes taking part are on the map!
We were proud that all of our residents could enjoy the session, along with other homes in the UK, the US, India, New Zealand and Australia! Heather put in lots of work with her local NHS to make sure that the session was tailored and accessible for all of our residents.
All of our residents and team loved the workout and a huge thank you and congratulations to Heather and her family for all of the hard work that went into the event!
