This year we wanted to get our residents moving and grooving as part of National Fitness Day 2022!
We teamed up with a number of partners for each of our different homes, who came to deliver seated exercise classes for our residents.
Our residents had an amazing time and have been asking about the possibility of ‘wake up workout Wednesdays’ in the future!
Here’s what each of our homes got up to.
Avocet Court, Ipswich
Our residents in Ipswich were delighted to welcome Hayley Ferriss, the Healthy Community Manager at Places Leisure Suffolk. Hayley delivered two seated exercise sessions for our residents who all had a fantastic time. We also contributed to Places Leisure 10 minutes of activity challenge for the day!
Amberley Hall and Goodwins Hall, Kings Lynn
Meanwhile, in Kings Lynn, we had the brilliant Sarah Broadway join us at each of our Kings Lynn homes for ‘wake up Wednesday fitness sessions’. You can see a snippet of Amberley’s session here.
Sarah has worked for various gyms and leisure centres around Norfolk and has a vast experience of the fitness industry. Sarah originally trained in sports therapy but always had a passion for group fitness.
