The team at Aria Court Care Home will be sharing their knowledge and skills in caring for someone affected by dementia at a new monthly café.
The Dementia Café will offer those living with the condition the chance to enjoy delicious home-baked treats in a friendly, accessible environment, while talking to others living through the same experience.
Our experienced lifestyles team will provide a wide range of fun and unique activities each month, while guest speakers will be on hand to offer support and advice to caregivers.
The team are passionate about sharing their expertise with those who are currently awaiting a diagnosis; caregivers who are supporting someone living with dementia and those who need additional support as the condition progresses.
Dan Baker, Customer Relationship Manager at Aria Court, said: “We know that all too often people living with dementia face challenges with isolation and loneliness. Sometimes they become self-conscious about memory loss, while carers may be anxious about taking trips out.
“Here at Aria Court our team have vast experience of caring for people throughout the dementia journey. We are passionate about sharing that knowledge and supporting others during what can be a confusing period.
“The lifestyles teams will provide activities that help people living with dementia to use the skills they have, give them a sense of purpose and boost self-esteem.”
The Aria Court Dementia Café will be held on the second Thursday of the month, with the first event taking place on Thursday, 13th April from 10.00am to 12.00pm.
There is no need to book, just drop in and meet the team – Aria Court can be found in Coronation Close, March. There is ample free parking on site.
