Back in January we asked our residents to tell us what their wishes were. We’ve made countless special meals, arranged intercontinental catch ups, delivered flowers and much more since. With the changing restrictions though, it’s been hard for us to get out and about.
There was one final wish which we’ve been wanting to make a reality this year which was from two of our residents at Aria Court Care Home in March. Our residents requested to go back down to London to have a look around Tottenham Hotspur’s gleaming new stadium!
Shiela and Michael were chauffeur driven from our home in March, Cambridgeshire down to North London where they were greeted by the fantastic Simon, who’s the Disability Access Officer for Tottenham Hotspur. Our residents spent some time with him recalling stories of living on Paxton Road (which used to be on land where the new stadium stands) and attending matches many years ago, before heading off on their brilliant stadium tour.
Our residents said: “I had a brilliant time. I used to live right next door to the stadium, the staff were friendly and helpful.” and, “It was a great experience”.
A huge thank you once again to Tottenham Hotspur for their hospitality and helping us to bring our resident’s wishes to life!
