It was a Joyeux Noël for our residents at Avocet Court Care Home in Ipswich.
They were sent Christmas cards from pupils at a French school, which arrived just in time for the big day.
The pupils from the Academie De Versailles wrote cards for the residents at the care home in Monmouth Close during their English class, then created colourful festive designs.
This was the second time the school had teamed up with Athena Care Homes, having sent cards to residents at Goodwins Hall Care Home in Kings Lynn the previous Christmas.
Ruth Garnham, General Manager at Avocet Court, said: “The residents were delighted to receive the cards, it was a lovely surprise for them to get a card from across the Channel.
“The cards brought a little extra Christmas cheer to our communities over Christmas and also gave us a chance to discuss memories of French holidays with some of our residents.
“We would like to say a huge thank you to the students of the Academie De Versailles for their beautiful cards and the very thoughtful gesture.”
