Earlier in the year, we asked our residents if there was one thing they could do, what would it be? Two of our residents, Keith Pitt and Russell Race, said that as they’d worked on a farm in their younger years, they’d love nothing more than having a ride on a tractor again.
Having selected their wish, the team at Avocet Court worked throughout the summer to source a tractor for the day. No mean feat during the late summer and early autumn harvest period.
The tractor was joined by ponies, goats, chickens, guinea pigs and an assortment of other farmyard friends for a unique fun day at Avocet Court.
Russell said, “It was fantastic! It brought back so many good memories for me.”
Ruth Garnham, Home Manager at Avocet Court, said, “Today is what Avocet Court is all about. We’ve heard our residents’ requests and delivered a unique day full of magical moments for our residents, their loved ones and our team. The smiles on Keith and Russell’s faces are priceless.”
