Langdon House Residents Step Back in Time at the “Dance to Remember” Event
On Thursday, 13th November, our Langdon House residents were treated to an unforgettable afternoon as they attended the wonderfully heartfelt “Dance to Remember” event, kindly hosted by Peasgood & Skeates. Set in the charming setting of a local church hall, the occasion brought the spirit of the 1940s back to life with a beautifully themed remembrance tea dance.
The hall was filled with music, nostalgia, and joy as residents enjoyed a fabulous performance by the talented May Blossom, whose vintage vocals and warm stage presence truly captivated the room. Her performance quickly became a highlight, with many residents sharing how special it made their day feel.
This outing wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication, teamwork, and heartfelt effort of our incredible Langdon House team. Getting 19 residents to the event, many requiring additional support, is no small task, and yet the team pulled together seamlessly. A particularly special thank-you goes to Lance George, who made multiple trips to ensure our wheelchair users could join in the festivities. His commitment made a real difference and ensured everyone who wished to attend could do so comfortably and safely.
Adding to the excitement, ITV News joined us at the event to help share these uplifting moments with the wider community. We were immensely proud to see our very own Peggy Cowell interviewed on camera, representing Langdon House with her usual charm and wit.

Our heartfelt thanks go once again to Peasgood & Skeates for inviting us to such a thoughtful and beautifully organised event. It was a day filled with music, memories, and community — a truly meaningful way to honour and remember.
We look forward to many more opportunities like this to bring joy, connection, and unforgettable experiences to our residents.
