Goodwins Hall & Amberley Hall: Finalists at the HSJ Partnership Awards 2026
We are incredibly proud to share that Goodwins Hall and Amberley Hall Care Homes were named joint finalists at the HSJ Partnership Awards 2026, in the category of Best Partnership Supporting Personalised Care Pathways.
While we did not take home the final award, this recognition reflects something far more meaningful, our shared journey, the strength of our partnerships, and the tangible difference we are making for patients.
A Partnership Built on Collaboration
This achievement was made possible through close collaboration with our valued partners across health and social care. Together, we have worked alongside NHS organisations and local authorities to reshape how care is delivered, ensuring it is more responsive, personalised, and efficient.
At the heart of this partnership is a simple but powerful goal:
to work collaboratively with the NHS to improve patient outcomes and experiences.
Our Shared Ambitions
From the outset, our partnership focused on transforming care pathways through innovation and co-design. Key ambitions included:
• Creating seamless, joined-up pathways
• Embedding personalised decision-making
• Improving patient flow
• Empowering patients to return home sooner
How The Partnership Made It Happen
This work has been underpinned by a truly collaborative approach, including:
• Co-design across all stakeholders, ensuring every voice, from clinicians to care teams, was heard
• End-to-end pathway reviews to identify and remove inefficiencies
• Clear escalation routes for real-time problem solving
• Strategic investment in reablement and recovery capacity
By aligning our efforts and maintaining open communication, we have been able to respond quickly to challenges and continuously improve how care is delivered.
Delivering Real Impact
The results of this partnership have been both measurable and meaningful:
• Reduced Pathway 2 Discharge delays, with average wait times decreasing from 15–20 days to just 5 days following NCTR decisions
• Introduction of a Trusted Assessment Model, supporting faster, more effective transitions of care
• Improved patient experience, with smoother journeys and more personalised support
These outcomes demonstrate what can be achieved when organisations come together with a shared purpose and commitment to change.
Looking Ahead
The managers at both homes commented “Although we did not win the award, being recognised as finalists is a testament to the dedication, innovation, and compassion of everyone involved.
We are immensely proud of what has been achieved in such a short time, and even more excited about what comes next.
Together, we will continue to build on this momentum, strengthening our partnerships and delivering even better outcomes for the people we serve.”
Goodwins Hall and Amberley Hall Care Homes remain committed to working collaboratively with partners across health and social care to deliver high-quality, personalised care pathways for all.
