Ashlynn Grange care home in Peterborough is delighted to welcome Renju Varghese as its new Home Manager. A dedicated and passionate qualified nurse, Renju brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to providing outstanding care to residents.
Renju began her nursing career in 2007 after qualifying in India, where she worked in hospital settings and also trained aspiring nurses. She and her husband, who is also a nurse, moved to the UK together to pursue their careers in healthcare. Since then, Renju has gained extensive experience across various care organisations, working in residential, palliative, specialist dementia, and nursing care settings.
Having previously worked in Peterborough and now living nearby, Renju has a strong connection to the local community. She is eager to build strong relationships within Ashlynn Grange and is currently getting to know the residents, families, and her team members as part of our commitment to celebrate every individual. She is particularly excited about Athena in Bloom, a wonderful initiative that will enhance the home’s beautiful wraparound gardens, with the help of Ashlynn’s fantastic gardener.
Renju is passionate about fostering a culture of excellence and compassion within her team. She plans to introduce champions among her team to promote key issues such as dignity and dementia care. Additionally, she is keen to involve residents as ambassadors, ensuring their voices are heard and valued in the home’s development.
Speaking about her new role, Renju said: “I love the care home environment—it truly feels like a family. I enjoy working with residents and their loved ones to ensure the best possible care for everyone, building trust and making Ashlynn Grange a warm and welcoming place for everyone in our community.”
Renju operates an open-door policy and encourages residents, families, and team members to come and talk to her at any time.
Outside of work, Renju is mother to three young children who are in primary school. As a family, they love to travel and have explored many parts of Europe, as well as visiting relatives in India whenever possible. She is also an active member of her local church, where she contributes to teaching and community activities.
With her experience, enthusiasm, and dedication, Renju is committed to leading Ashlynn Grange with compassion and excellence, ensuring it continues to be a nurturing and supportive home for all residents.
Neethu Aneesh has joined the team at Ashlynn Grange as Clinical Deputy Manager
Having moved to the UK in 2020 Neethu has been a nurse for nine years and is currently studying for an MBA in healthcare management .
Neethu is passionate abut the care which is provided to the elderly population and has a range of experience having worked in nursing and dementia care homes.
She said, “So far it has been an amazing journey in the care sector meeting new people from all over the world. I am looking forward to working with the dedicated and supportive team at Ashlynn Grange to create memories and a loving, warm and friendly atmosphere for everyone who lives and works here.
