We are incredibly proud to congratulate Mari Mourao, Customer Relationship Manager for Athena’s sister homes Amberley Hall and Goodwins Hall, on becoming the newest member of the Rotary Club of Kings Lynn.
This week, Mari was officially awarded her Rotary pin, marking the beginning of an exciting journey with this esteemed organisation.
Mari has always been deeply committed to the local community, engaging in networking and fundraising efforts that support a range of important causes. Her dedication to making a positive impact through her role at our care homes has already made her a familiar face in Kings Lynn. Now, as a member of the Rotary Club, she will have even more opportunities to give back and contribute to meaningful projects.
Speaking about her new role, Mari shared, “I am very proud to be a member of the King’s Lynn Rotary Club. I look forward to getting involved and supporting the community through the fantastic work the club does.”
The King’s Lynn Rotary Club plays a crucial role in supporting people in need, donating to charities, and organising community service projects. In the 2023-2024 Rotary year alone, the club contributed approximately £8,775 to various organisations, including Guide Dogs for the Blind, Kings Lynn Food Bank, Fairstead Community Shop, and West Norfolk Carers. Beyond financial contributions, club members actively participate in hands-on initiatives such as Christmas parties for young carers, educational support for local students, and environmental efforts like planting thousands of crocuses to raise awareness for the fight against polio.
Athena Care Homes are delighted to see Mari take on this new role, and we know that her involvement will further strengthen the bond between our care homes and the wider community, something which is important to the values of the company. We look forward to seeing her passion, leadership, and commitment shine through in this new capacity.
